2. Jemimah Rodrigues
Jemimah Rodrigues has quickly emerged as one of India’s premier young cricketers since her ODI debut in 2018. From Mumbai school grounds and international stadiums to top T20 franchise leagues around the world, she has built up a stellar career through consistent performances and big match temperament.
Right-handed middle-order batswoman who bowls off-spin occasionally. She was raised in Bhandup, Mumbai by a Mangalorean Christian family that fostered sports and nurtured her talent. At the junior level in both hockey and cricket she represented Maharashtra – showing early all-around athleticism.
She scored an unbeaten 127 in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 semi-final against Australia to help India chase down a record total of 339 and set off record breaking innings by her side. Her effortless power hitting cemented her place among India’s elite modern hitters while she is also an adept fielder and can be relied upon in various positions across the field.
6. Jhulan Goswami
Jhulan Goswami, an Indian cricket player from 2007 to 2011, held the fastest bowler record for women’s cricket at her peak and received the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award that same year. Additionally, she became India’s captain after Mithali Raj had left international cricket.
She was an all-rounder in her own right, making valuable contributions with both bat and ball down the order. She made her international debut against England at Chennai in January 2002.
Goswami rose to prominence as an athlete solely through passion. Her family did not have the means to support her dreams, yet she relentlessly pursued them – travelling two hours each way on local trains every three days to practice with her coach in Kolkata – dedicating herself and showing commitment that allowed her to realize the full extent of her abilities.
